What is MissionServ International?

MissionServ International, originally established in 1992, as a non-for-profit organization, consists of dedicated people who devote time and energy to bring a better way of life to impoverished people in the northeast region of Brazil.

For more than a decade, MissionServ International has been active in various humanitarian projects, involving donor countries / people in needy communities in a chain of people that care enough to lend a hand. As part of its original portfolio of activities, MissionServ International carried out projects with the participation of the humanitarian arm of the Pentagon (HAP -- Humanitarian Assistance Program), benefiting needy communities in the northern and northeast regions of Brazil moving military surplus materials such as irrigation and water-distribution systems, floating bridges, and other useful products.

Between the years of 2000 and 2005, MissionServ International, through FUNDAMED, has been the catalyst in sponsoring over 80 medical missions to Brazil, with teams comprised of physicians, nurses, dentists, and other types of medical support workers such as physical therapists, pharmacists, and lab technicians. With MissionServ's help, this group of volunteers offered free healthcare in areas where some people had never seen or visited a doctor.

Most recently, MissionServ's scope has been expanded under the Volunteer Brazil Program to cover other areas such as the construction of clinics, community centers, and churches, training, community outreach programs, environment preservation, etc. As citizen diplomats, volunteers reach out to serve others and to offer the human touch in a people-to-people approach, through short-term international volunteer mission trips. These "mini-vacations with a mission" allow ordinary people to accomplish extraordinary things!

Would you like to become a part of this epic story of good will towards mankind? Apply today to be a short-term international volunteer!
